The MM2 is an analog max-min thermometer that registers the highest and lowest readings from the last setting. It has a pushbutton reset that releases limit markers.A max/min thermometer records highest and lowest temperatures. A "U" shaped tube holds mercury. As the temperature increases, the liquid expands, forcing the mercury up the maximum scale. When the temperature falls, the liquid contracts, and the mercury follows it back up the minimum scale.
