Jet-Lube PETRO-TAPE is made of a virgin PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene). This rugged, inert and highly resistant tape is impervious to steam, salt water, air, refrigerants, fuels, acids and alkalis, solvents and gases. Its characteristics make it far superior to other PTFE tapes for heavy-duty use. PETRO-TAPE is easy, quick and clean to use. Just wrap one turn of tape around the pipe threads. Stretch it to break and join. There is no need to wait for it to set, and the joint can be disassembled at any future time. PETRO-TAPE cannot drip or run, and it never dries out. It is ready for instant use, now or years from now, because it keeps its protective qualities indefinitely.
