The two-day Trauma and Crime Scene Technician (TCST) certification covers unique situations encountered when performing trauma and crime scene cleanup. This certification demonstrates knowledge of the various procedures and precautions taken when performing work at a trauma/crime scene and is based on the ANSI/IICRC S540 Standard for Trauma and Crime Scene Cleanup. Upon achieving the certification, you will demonstrate your knowledge by inspecting and investigating blood borne pathogens and other potentially infectious material contamination to establish hazard assessments, work plans and procedures for cleaning and as well as understanding how to safely transport contaminated material.

Instructions
Additional Considerations:
1. This course is available online and in person. If attending online, the students must always be able to see and hear the instructor and the instructor must always be able to see and hear all students, so a webcam, microphone and strong Internet signal are required.

Course manuals will be shipped out after registration forms have been processed (approx. 2-3 days). If attending in-person, all course materials will be provided in the classroom.
If registering 7-10 days before the start of class, an electronic course book will be provided and a hard copy will be shipped, but it may arrive after the start of class. A physical course book does not impact the pass rate of the course.

We will provide a meeting link to the students registered for the online course approximately one week before the
course begins.
4. Exam registration link will be provided in the same e-mail
as the meeting link.
If you are writing the exam for certification, it is recommended that you register for the exam as soon
as possible.
5. Including the final day of class, students have 45 consecutive days to complete the exam ending at 11:59 PM EST on the last day.
6. Picture ID is required for the online student(s) to enroll and is also required again to write the exam.
