The one-day Odor Control Technician (OCT) course concentrates on how to address odors caused by biological sources (decomposition, urine contamination, mold), combustion sources (fire and smoke damage) and chemical sources (fuel oil spills, volatile organic chemicals) and the psychology behind odor.

Additional Considerations:
1. This course is available online and in person. If attending online, the students must always be able to see and hear the instructor, and the instructor must always be able to see and hear all students, so a webcam, microphone, and strong internet signal are required.

If attending in person, all course materials will be provided in the classroom.
3. We will provide a meeting link to the students registered for the online course approximately one week before the course begins.
4. Exam registration link will be provided in the same email as the meeting link. If you are writing the exam for the certification, it is recommended to register for the exam as soon as possible.
5. Including the final day of class, students have 45 consecutive days to complete the exam ending at 11:59 PM EST on the last day.

Picture ID is required for the online student(s) to enroll and is also required again to write the exam.
